The country&#8217;s total area is 1.566 million square kilometers, which is approximately 1 square kilometer per 1.6 people, making it the 18th largest country in the world. Mongolia&#8217;s territory is larger than the territories of the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Italy combined.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geography:<\/strong> Mongolia covers a wide range of terrain, including mountains, grassy steppes, and vast, flat desert. Much of the northern and western parts of the country are mountainous or hilly grasslands. The Gobi Desert occupies much of the southern and eastern regions.
